Westlink Green Building 2
Electrical | Mechanical
Client: Graystone Architect: Trapp Architects Value: $5m Completion: 2014 Description This two-storey office building was the second project on the site of the Cement Australia factory. The ground level was leased by Montrose Access, which specialises in providing care to disabled children, and required several special-use areas. The top level was designed as an open-ceiling layout with exposed services, and provided a number of shared facilities including meeting rooms and a lunch room. A large, two-level entry foyer connected both levels, and added to the spacious, open feel of the building. The air conditioning system design incorporated discrete zoning of each facade to improve energy efficiency, utilising high-efficiency VRF type plant. Lighting control was by motion sensing to reduce energy usage. Related projects QGC Chinchilla Warehouse >> Kenmore State High School >> OLSH Primary School >> |
