Our History |
Cushway Blackford was founded in 1983 by Bob Cushway and David Blackford, and since then we have established ourselves as a reliable source of advice, having helped numerous clients through many and varied projects.

Our highly experienced team of senior engineers, CAD designers and administrative staff have been involved in projects in all states of Australia as well as Papua New Guinea. Our range of clients includes builders, developers, architects, project managers and government departments. We have experience across many industries including healthcare, education, retail, community, residential, hotel, mining, industrial, and commercial sectors.

We are a multi-disciplinary firm of over 20 staff, including a team of rigorously selected engineers. We believe coordination with other team members – both inside the office and out – is key to the success of a project. Each member of the Cushway Blackford ‘family’ is an active contributor to our team of skilled individuals, who together form a close-knit, highly-efficient unit, with a reputation for delivering on promises and meeting deadlines.

Quality Assurance
Cushway Blackford is committed to a policy of continuous improvement. An aspect of this is our Quality Assurance certification, which we have maintained continuously for 20+ years – a milestone achieved in February 2016. Our Quality Management System is maintained by our own staff, who are report directly to senior management, and the system is regularly audited by an external, accredited third-party certification body.
