Formed in 1983, we are a multi-disciplined Consulting Engineering practice committed to the building industry and to providing a cost effective range of services to our clients. We have maintained our own high standards and steady growth. At the same time, we have recognised the importance of listening to and interpreting our clients’ particular design and documentation needs.

Our highly experienced and professional team of Senior Engineers, Drafting Designers and skilled Administrative Staff have been involved in projects in all eastern states as well as the Northern Territory, Samoa and Papua New Guinea. Recognising the time and budgetary constraints of the building industry, we apply our broad range of specific talents to offer you accurate and up to date design, documentation and supervision.

Our range of clients includes builders, developers, architects, project managers and government departments. Collectively, our extensive experience in the building services industry and our ability to incorporate all disciplines under the one roof means that we can be very flexible in providing you with an individual service or a complete package deal of all services.

Senior management is shared by David Blackford and John Crace who are assisted by a technical and administration staff of approximately thirty (30) people. The practice of Cushway Blackford & Associates has established offices in Brisbane, Sunshine Coast and Papua New Guinea. A strong association has been developed with Don Townson Communications which has proved of mutual benefit on many occasions.
